For offshore platform operations where deck space is limited, the WCI Patented Folding Masts provide operators with an economical and efficient means of performing drilling and workover activities.

The Folding Mast, in either the 142'or 160'configuration, easily adapts to offshore platforms and is interchangeable with a 30'x30' base standard derrick.

The Folding Mast center of gravity remains near the well centerline when the mast is in either the raised or lowered position, making the unit easy to handle with a barge crane. The Folding Mast can be transported to the platform site and lifted on the platforms a single unit, or it can be transported to the platform in sections and then assembled on the platform deck using platform cranes.

The 160' version of the Folding Mast has been designed for use with a power swivel, and the mast can be raised with the guide tracks installed.

Its unique design allows the WCI Folding Mast to be lowered in the event of storms. The design also provides drillers with excellent visibility up through the mast when it is in the raised and operating position.

Cantilever Masts

Cantilever masts designed and fabricated by WCI for a wide range of drilling and servicing applications throughout the world, have been the standards for nearly 100 years. Since being introduced to the drilling industry, continued design improvements have developed the mast into a highly portable structure, providing operators with rig-up and tear-down cycles that save time and money. WCI masts are available in a wide range of heights and capacitates, with each mast being custom built to meet the exacting requirements of the customer.

Hi-Floor Masts

The original Hi-Floor Mast revolutionized the art of deep drilling, providing economical transportation and erection, and the advantage of additional clearance for blowout preventers. High capacity, Hi-Floor Masts, of beam construction, incorporate all the advantages of the original design, plus providing increased space inside and a wider floor. These masts are available with a self-raising drawworks and rotary system.
