Lee C. Moore, A Woolslayer Company Announces Derrick Orders

Tulsa based Lee C. Moore, A Woolslayer Company announced today it has agreed to terms with two premier international shipyards for the fabrication and supply of nine of its offshore derricks for use on new deep water jack-up drilling rigs. Fabrication and deliveries to shipyards are scheduled for completion by the end of 2011.

Each structure ranges between 160 feet and 170 feet tall and are capable of supporting loads of 1,500,000 lbs. The drilling derricks are designed to accommodate popular features on LCM designed derrick models, including offline stand building and automated racking systems for drilling tubulars.

Terms of the recent sales were not disclosed, but include options for an additional 12 derricks.
